Deveton Limited
In January 2007 HBR acquired 80% of Deveton Ltd, a Liberian-owned mineral exploration company. There are 3 JV project areas (Ba, Jababli and Zia) that cover 2935 square kilometres in central and eastern Liberia. These areas are considered highly perspective for Birimian gold.
The Chairman of Deveton Ltd the Hon. Mr Clarence Momolu and his fellow director Mr Thomas Beyan are well respected members of Liberian society and HBR is delighted to be working alongside them.
Afro Minerals Limited
In March 2007 HBR acquired 80% of Afro Mineral Resources Ltd (formerly Geotess Inc), a Liberian incorporated company. The JV area is known as Kana Hills and covers 258 square kilometres.
Kana Hills adjoins the Zia project area (80% Hummingbird) to the north. This area was specifically targeted as early exploration on the Zia project area has shown encouraging gold anomalies, which are expected to run north into the Kana Hills region.
The Chairman of Afro Mineral Resources Ltd is Mustapha Sidee, the Consulate General to Liberia for Mauritania, with whom HBR enjoys an excellent working relationship.
