2 million oz at Tuzon deposit

Ahead of Indaba, African gold explorers released a series of encouraging drilling reports and resource and reserve statements. Hummingbird Resources announced a maiden gold resource of two million ounces at its Tuzon deposit in Liberia, which lifts total gold resources to 3.7 million ounces. Tuzon lies just 2.6 kilometres from the existing Dugbe F resource and has potential to be developed as part of the company’s Dugbe 1 project. The limits of the orebody at Tuzon have not yet been delineated, and drilling to increase the resource remains ongoing. The shares gained 2.2 per cent to 160p.
